![]() ![]() Townscaper is a super-relaxing game and its achievements are not difficult to obtain. Most achievements can be unlocked in a very short amount of time if following the guide, earning them all within 15 to 20 minutes. However, changing colors is very useful if playing the game outside of earning achievements if you want to spend some time and design your own town. It is recommended that outside of that achievement, you do not change colors since when you place a block with different color, the building design changes, which may cause some achievements not to unlock. Also, the only achievement that requires a specific color is Who goes there? (100G). While it isn’t needed for most of the achievements, it is very helpful for a few and required to locate a circle pattern for Propelled (100G), which will probably be the most time consuming achievement because circle patterns aren’t common on the grid. This is done by pressing, moving down to ‘Grid’ then pressing (so the box is filled in). The first thing you want to do is to turn on the grid. Refer to the guide below for full details. There is nothing overly demanding to unlock any of them. Use the grid to build differently shaped structures and experiment by removing certain blocks to give your town some unique features.įull credit for the 100% video walkthrough goes to Achievement Land.Īchievement-wise, all that is required are simple tasks like building a garden, a lighthouse, or placing 1 blocks, to name a few. The controls are very simple places a block, removes a block, moves the crosshairs and rotates the camera. Let your imagination run wild and design your very own town in this relaxing game. Pick colors from the palette, plop down colored blocks of house on the irregular grid, and watch Townscaper's underlying algorithm automatically turn those blocks into cute little houses, arches, stairways, bridges and lush backyards, depending on their configuration.”. Townscaper is an experimental passion project more of a toy than a game. ![]() No real gameplay, just plenty of building and plenty of beauty. Build small hamlets, soaring cathedrals, canal networks, or sky cities on stilts. “Build quaint island towns with curvy streets. Only takes around 10-20 minutes to get the completion for it.For questions, comments or feedback, please visit the Achievements and Guide Discussion thread. The achievements that are included in the game also help guide you in creating many of these structures, while rewarding you with a very easy 1000 gamerscore. Propelled is an achievement and one of the ten achievements in Townscaper. As I went about making my little dream town, I would constantly stumble upon a new structure accidentally From churches to gardens, to towns floating mid air by propellers, there are just so many cool little buildings you can craft. More than just the art style though, the simplicity of the gameplay with how many unique combinations you can make are half the experience. I’m drawn more to games like Two Point Hospital, Stardew Valley, The Sims, and of course Townscaper. It’s difficult for me to immerse myself in the more realistic sim games such as Microsoft Flight Simulator. It’s not just the higher focus on gameplay mechanics that replicate whatever potentially mundane task you’re set to complete, but the realistic graphics just don’t hold my attention as well with games of this type. It felt like something that I could just relax to, create some impressive structures and communities with, all while experiencing an art style that can manage to keep the attention of my ADHD riddled mind. ![]() The usage of bright colors, rounded building assets just screamed a cute cartoony style at me. Townscaper drew me in with its art style. ![]()
